Payment can be made with cash, Venmo, CashApp or credit/debit card. If you use a credit/debit card, there is an extra 4%. Our venmo name is @SuperiorMoving and CashApp is $SuperiorMoving1981.
Payment is due at the destination before the movers deliver the items. Any licensed and insured moving company will enforce this. This is in order of Section 7 of the Commercial Code which reads: Sec. 7 The owner or consignee shall pay the advances, tariff charges, packing and storage, if any and all other lawful charges accruing on said property; but, except in those instances where it may lawfully be authorized to do so, no carrier shall deliver or relinquish possession at destination of the property covered by this bill of lading until all tariff rates and charges thereon have been paid.
1) Anything that isn't furniture should be packed in a box. This includes but is not limited to:
- Table lamps and tops of pole lamps
- Any electronics ie tv's stereos, computers, monitors, cable boxes etc
- Statues, sculptures, figurines, vases
- Glass table tops/inserts, glass shelves, mirrors, pictures, paintings, marble, granite, pedestals, etc
- Counter top appliances such as small microwaves, toasters, juicers
2) Boxes should be sealed with tape on top and bottom. Open boxes are harder to move and pack in the truck which will add time to the move which will then cost you more money. Plastic totes and luggage bags are fine also. All cushions should be packed in at least trash bags.
3) Drawers of dressers, chests, desks, nightstands, armoires, cabinets, etc should be emptied.
4) No flakeboard/particle board/build-it-yourself furniture is insured ever.
5) We are not legally allowed to disconnect/reconnect appliances. All appliances should be disconnected before we arrive. This includes washers, dryers, refrigerators (including water lines), freezers, and dishwashers etc. Furthermore, we cannot remove or install anything from a wall, floor, or ceiling that requires more than moving.
6) Customer will take care of parking permits, building moving policies, and reserving elevators. Let us know if you need a certificate of insurance for your buildings, we'll be glad to provide it for you.
7) We will not move any household or item(s) which show evidence of bed bugs, roaches, mice, rats, or any type of insect, rodent, or animal. If Superior finds this evidence, we will not complete the move and customer may be imposed a cancellation and/or fumigation fee.
8) After loading all items, customer must make sure Superior has taken everything that was supposed to be moved and not taken anything that was not supposed to be moved. After unloading all items, customer must make sure that everything has been delivered and placed where it is supposed to be. Customer must look in the truck to verify.

If you’re looking for ways to save money on an hourly move, here are a few ways to do so:
1) Move tv’s, glass, mirrors, pictures/paintings, lamps yourself. We can move these items, but they need to be packed in boxes in order to be moved. This takes time and costs money for the materials so if you can move these on your own, you will save significant time and money.
2) Take apart beds, kitchen and dining room tables, take backs off of sofas (if possible). Again, we will do this for you if you can’t.
3) Make sure there is close parking for the moving truck. If you need to reserve parking permits, the cost of the parking permit will be significantly less than how much you’ll save by having the truck as close as possible!
4) If you have an elevator to use, make sure it is reserved solely for the moving company. If we need to share it with another company, maintenance workers, or the public, it will drastically lengthen the time of the move.
5) Have all boxes packed and sealed before the movers arrive. Life can happen and everyone can get behind schedule when it comes to packing boxes but if the movers get there and you aren’t finished packing, this will definitely extend the time needed for moving.
6) Try to be accurate with the list of furniture and items to move. It is VERY common for people to underestimate how much they’re moving which can cause customers to be unhappy with how long the move takes versus the estimate they were given.
Please remember that we want you to be happy with our service and we want to be accurate with our estimate. Most of our business comes from repeat customers and referrals. If you have any questions, please give us a call. Thank you for your business.
